Acid ( acid attack ）

~acid is a corrosive agent.
~ burn the skin very quickly and can penetrate into the fat and muscle layer and burn through to the bone.
~ it keep burning until it is neutralised .
~ flush the affected area with water immediately. ( to stop it from doing more damage )
~ contaminated clothing should be removed.
~ IV fluids will be administered to normalise blood volume and heart rate.
~ antibiotics be given to prevent infection.
~ an acid burn look similar to a scald injury where hot water is thrown on a person.
~ the extent of the acid injury will determine whether reconstructive surgery is necessary.
~ needed multiple surgeries depending on the severity of the injury.
~ a skin graft to cover wounds to get them to heal faster.
~ pressure garments can be use to help reduce scarring and deformities.
~ pressure garments exert pressure on the affected area to minimize scaring.
~ silicone sheets or silicone ointment applied to the skin .( it has a fantastic effect on scars )
